Aug. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- HOUSTON – As part of its focus on interiors projects and tenant fit-outs, Turner Construction Company appointed Andy Tandon as the manager of its interiors division.  Andy Tandon, a tenured senior project manager with Turner, will lead the interiors division by delivering consistent, timely and cost-effective construction management and general contracting services to local clients. This division specializes in the construction of interior spaces, ranging in size from $100,000 to $10 million.

The interiors division is a specialized market segment for Turner which focuses on the flexibility, efficiency and sensitivity that clients require for their interiors projects. Turner provides the experience and special requirements needed to deliver high quality  tenant fit-outs in new and existing buildings. The assignments are fast-paced and require flexibility and efficiency to address client needs.

“Interior work has long been a mainstay of our Texas offices for a variety of private and public clients including law firms, commercial offices, financial institutions and corporate interiors in addition to data and call centers,” said Joe Glowacki, vice president and general manager of Turner Construction in Houston.

“As business in Houston continues to expand, there is an incredibly high demand for interior construction, and we are confident that Andy will lead this division to the forefront.”

Since joining Turner in 1996, Andy has been a key member of the operations staff. A Houston native, Andy has a diverse background having worked on large and small Houston area projects including extensive tenant finish work. Andy received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He is also a Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) and is OSHA 30-Hour Certified.

Turner Construction Company has been a part of the Houston market since 1919. Its first project was the 94-building complex for Humble Oil Company (now Exxon Mobil).
