The first of these events will begin on September 2nd with the evocative photographic exhibit “On-set / Off-set, Des instants du cinema”, dedicated to the fabulous film making industry which Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese will host until November 20th, 2011. The traveling photographic exhibit, organized by Sofitel Luxury Hotels in collaboration with the French Polka Gallery and hosted by all the company’s luxury hotels will finally arrive in the Eternal City. The exhibit reveals the magnitude of the international film industry through photos taken by four famous French photographers: Famous faces of celebrities such as Johnny Depp and Sophie Marceau, Woody Allen and Jane Birkin are revealed in intense portraits featured in the exhibit “On-set / Off-set, Des instants du cinema”. Unveiled alongside are stolen backstage moments or captured instants of the most prestigious events dedicated to the Seventh Art, as for example the Cannes International Film Festival. At the end of September the journey through international culture continues at Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese with the Roman stop-over of the traveling exhibit dedicated to French literature, “Les Escales Literaire”, scheduled for September 27th. On this occasion the passion for excellence fuses together with literature in an extraordinary encounter of people, places and culture. Travel experiences and anecdotes, narrative pieces and the art of hosting come to life through the works of four French authors who, inspired by Rome, a wonderful and extraordinary destination, with its priceless treasures, have translated into words feelings, sensations and memories that are closely tied to the Eternal City.
