Riots cause havoc in Central London

Aug. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Retail shop workers have been scared of possibilities yet to come as most of the rioters destruction has been in attempt of daylight robbery with hope to fill their pockets with cash earned from the sale of stolen products.
o   Stress has not only been caused directly to the ‘looted’ businesses but also to companies that have not even seen the rioters. Unfortunately the riots meant that many tube stations had to close and this restricted access to certain territories meant that sales and marketing companies such as Unik Corporation had to change their strategies in order to ensure they achieved results for their clients regardless of the chaos caused by the rioters. Jinnel Patel, Unik Corporation said, ‘We have had to think on our feet as original plans were changed due to obvious difficulties with travel etc. Fortunately we are very flexible and have large amounts of territory in and around London. We chose to travel outside London alternatively as the streets were safer and representatives did not feel at all threatened in these areas.’
Many of the high streets across London and surrounding areas were deserted during the riots as the public became scared of leaving their houses as they were deterred by violence seen on the news. Therefore, not much shopping and spending was done during the riots. Unik Corporation’s customers are used to be visited with products and services from the outsourced clients. However, customers of Unik Corporation sales and marketing company have been affected as the sales company requires as representatives have not been able to travel around Central London in order to promote their clients brands and products.
Angered Unik Corporation employee Emma Clarkson said, ‘the actions of the thugs have caused the company to fall behind in sales, luckily this has been a short term and temporary measure and sales are already booming again!’ This frustration was felt across the company as Shara Ghazi said, ‘I cannot believe how out of hand everything has got. It has affected us even though our Central London office didn’t even see rioters.’
The riot days and aftermath have been complete chaos for more than just the petrified onlookers in London. Business owners relying on inconvenienced commuters were affected and tax payers will be paying for destruction into the future.
