The school was key in helping transform roadracing safety as the sport grew in the 1970’s. The first Penguin School manual “Learn to Fly” provided riders with a game plan for a complete understanding of roadracing rules and safety procedures as well as a solid path to improve their skills. The school grew under the leadership of Jerry Wood and their first advanced class instructor, factory rider, John Bettencourt. Currently, under the leadership of Eric Wood, son of founder Jerry Wood, the school has expanded from its base operation at New Hampshire Motor Speedway to include schools in New Jersey and Florida. Utilizing advanced training materials, with the industry’s best team of lead instructors, the school trains thousands street riders and racers in basic and advanced skills. www.penguinracing.com. End
