Aug. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Millgate Homes is renowned for carefully constructing magnificent new properties for the most discerning of purchasers; something which has been recognised three times in the last four years by the Evening Standard New Homes Awards, where it has scooped the top prize of Home of the Year. Well, it can now add golf to its repertoire.

That’s because one member of staff is quite the expert; moonlighting as an amateur golf champion in his spare time and this season alone winning not one, but three tournaments. Neill Williams from Redhill, Surrey, is a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Millgate Homes and has been playing golf for 25 years, and 2011 has seen him triumph to county, regional and national level, his most recent win being The Logan Trophy - English Mid Amateur.

Neill says: “I took a break from golf and only started playing again about a year ago, so it’s great that I’ve had so much recent success. It’s definitely a confidence booster and I’m particularly proud of my national trophy.”

Colleague Jonathan Cranley, Sales and Marketing Director at Millgate Homes said: “We’re delighted by Neill’s success; he has great natural ability but also tremendous dedication to a sport he loves. We are very proud of his achievements.”

It’s this commitment and passion that appears to be the winning formula for Millgate. It goes into every home constructed, leading to its standing as one of the industry’s top house builders and runs through every member of the team, as is so clearly demonstrated by Neill’s success.
