Voco Design Gets Serious About Cancer

July 30, 2011 - PRLog -- June Rice was first diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of sixteen. The doctors told her she could potentially go until the age of thirty before needing serious treatment but instead, the brave sixteen year old decided the odds are better if she nips it in the bud. June had her last round of chemotherapy at the age of eighteen. Immediately after, she started radiation therapy. During this time June lost a good majority of her hair. After the radiation she went a year without needing any treatment. However, all of the therapy affected her white blood cell count. Due to this, her doctor put her on steroids. June didn’t know much about this new medication but it caused her to have terrible mood swings, anger issues, nausea, rapid weight gain and loss on a consistent basis. Due to a joint effort with Team Jyna, Visit http://www.teamjyna.com for details $2000 was raised in a little over one month and June will be able to get the treatment she needs to rid herself of cancer.

"We are so lucky in so many ways, and really jumped at the opportunity to help out and give a little back", said Founder Phi K. Ha, "it won't be the last time we do something like this, it's been a very touching experience."
