Mizuno MX-200 of a Beginner

July 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Started about a few months into golf and able to hit around 120 using the 7i, I had the
opportunity to demo both MX 100 and MX200 at local golf shop which I was able to
hit both but do not know how high the ball will fly. Wanted to know if my swing
speed is slow around 60, would the MX200 be suitable? So, I came to my cousin for
advice, and he recommended me to choose the MX200.

The new Mizuno MX-200 combines the feel of a forged iron with technology designed to offer enhanced forgiveness. The deep cavity has a reinforcement pad (known as Y-Tune) which expands the sweet spot and helps provide an extra nine yards per club than previous MX models. The y-shaped pad is situated towards the toe the area where most amateur mis-hits are made. Enhanced solidity in the hitting area and an aggressive triple cut sole design ensures MX-200's place in the bags of both professionals and amateurs.
Unlike the new MP models there was a big difference between the MX-100 and MX-200 irons. While both Cheap Golf Clubs offered impressive forgiveness levels the MX-100s produced a significantly higher ball flight from almost any part of the face. The MX-200s inspired confidence without seeming too bulky at address and the soft forged feel is definitely noticeable next to the cast MX-100. Both sets offer plenty of forgiveness but if feel and feedback are high on your list, we reckon it's worth paying the extra money for the MX-200s.
The Game Improvement Iron category is littered with cast and multi-metal irons with vibration dampeners and power bands, and so on. Instead of relying on technology to create forged feel, they simply make forged irons. Mizuno chose “1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel”with a double-plated chrome finish. The result is as you'd expect: soft, solid, sweet-feeling irons. Feeling is more muted than a blade obviously, but toe and heel hits are still easily recognized.
