Group 7even Shows Appreciation for its United Way Intern

July 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Group 7even is very appreciative of its summer intern, Kelsey Smith, who worked at Group 7even this summer as a United Way of St. Joseph County (UWSJC) Public Relations Intern.

Kelsey is a student at Indiana University where she is working toward her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, minoring in Apparel Merchandising and Art History. After she graduates in Spring 2013, Kelsey plans to pursue a career in public relations. Due to her interest in non-profit organizations and desire to gain real-world public relations experience, she was put into contact with a United Way of St. Joseph County board member who encouraged her to apply for the position of Public Relations intern with Group 7even.

Throughout her career as a student at Indiana University, Kelsey has been an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America. During the 2010-2011 academic year, she contributed to the organization of the PRSSA Regional Activity “Get Social: A Blueprint for Social Media Strategy.” The event focused on teaching students and professionals how to communicate effectively using social media.

Kelsey has proven to be an indispensable asset for Group 7even and the United Way of St. Joseph County. Her press releases, letters, web articles, and social media updates were well written and her research and ideas were extremely helpful in Group 7even’s marketing efforts.

Group 7even is delighted to have worked with such a talented individual. She will be missed and hard to replace.
