Media Advisory - STEM Summit

The summit continues a collaboration among local leaders of K-12 education, higher education, government, non-profit organizations and industry in order to provide a ready workforce for the STEM-based economy.  

STEM Summit 3 will develop implementation plans from four working committees formed during earlier STEM summits. The four committees are Student Pipeline Committee, Teacher Committee, STEM Content Committee and Strategic Communications Committee.
 
The objectives developed by the committees include efforts to:  

1) Stimulate student participation in STEM disciplines;
2) Develop/initiate STEM enrichment opportunities for teachers;

3) Identify content and community participation for STEM education; and  

4) Communicate events, programs and resources available in the region.
