Will Google+ Surpass Facebook's Popularity?

July 26, 2011 - PRLog -- The above mentioned question is one which rings in everyone's mind these days. Many think that Google+ will surpass Facebook in all terms but will this be easy?

Facebook as of now has more that 750 million users worldwide and to overtake this is not an easy task. These users connect to people through chat, groups, discussions, games, etc. A company such as a software development company connects to their customers through updates Facebook pages.

However, as per the survey by Google, Google+ is not far behind. With just three weeks since the commencement of the survey, this new social networking site has over 20 million users. With this pace, most will think that it will surpass Facebook.

It is true that Google hasn't officially launch this site and to take part in the survey one needs to get invites from those who are already an user. And in terms of utility and features it's nowhere near Facebook at the moment, and if the question be asked did Facebook had its features by the time when it was launched? There would be no answer.

Facebook has become a platform for web application development companies to showcase their products and applications and have been successful. Google+ on the other hand is also making a separate area available for Companies to register and create a business profile in order to interact with their clients and customers. There was a report that business profiles on Google+ was deleted by Google but this was a move from them so that they can create separate areas for common users and business companies. So, if one has a company, say an IT outsourcing company, he or she has to wait until Google makes account creation for business profiles available.

As per the pace of popularity of Google+ there is a strong belief that it may surpass Facebook's popularity but the reality is yet to be discovered. Lets wait and watch.
