In order to ensure uninterrupted electricity services, the state is about to set up the first biomass-based power plant. The Bihar Industries Association's general secretary, Sanjay Goenka said that the paper mill in which the power plant will be installed would manufacture paper of cardboard and craft paper. He also remarked that setting up of this plant could pave way for the setting up of several such plants across the state and one such power plant would feed electricity to at least 7-8 small scale industries and other micro industries..

The district administration and Oglacs together created a website wherein users can gain information related to PDS schemes, issue of commodities and other from the site.
