Laughter and Jazz for U.S. Veterans

Divine Favour has also supported various women’s shelters across Metro-Atlanta for over 8 years in an effort to combat the rising rate of homelessness impacting Fulton and Dekalb Counties of Metro-Atlanta, GA.
According to a study conducted by Covenant House over 40% of the homeless population are under the age of 18.  57% of homeless kids spend at least one day every month without food. The study also indicates of youth in shelters, nearly 50% reported intense conflict or physical harm by a family member as a major contributing factor to their homelessness. The National Alliance to End Homelessness estimates that, because of the recession, as many as a million additional Americans may become homeless in the next two years. The new face of the homeless includes military veterans, middle class consumers and executives of corporations. In short, our neighbors need our help.
