RESCUE INK at AHeinz57 Pet Rescue's MUTTS MADNESS Weekend in Des Moines August 12-14!

July 11, 2011 - PRLog -- ATTENTION fans of DOGS & MOTORCYCLES!  The tatoo'd biker crew of RESCUE INK, made famous by their hit show on National Geographic, will be in Des Moines August 12th-14th to partner with local non-profit organization AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport for “Mutts Madness Weekend”.

Mutts Madness Weekend will be headquartered at the Big Barn Harley-Davidson!  Events include:

Friday, August 12th -Meet Rescue Ink & have dinner at the Big Barn Friday evening, from 6:00 to 9:00.

Saturday, August 13th - AHeinz57’s 3rd Annual Poker Run w/Rescue Ink- Begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Big Barn and ends with a party, raffle and band at Norwood Inn.

Sunday, August 14th - Mutts Madness Festival at the Big Barn from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (a free family event)  Activities include:  Multi-rescue/shelter adoption day, dog training demo's, vendors, speakers, face painters and FUN!

Sunday, August 14th - Charity Dinner with Rescue Ink at Rube’s Steakhouse from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  (pre-registration required ~ seats are limited!)

AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport, Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit animal welfare organization based in Adel, Iowa. We are a unique rescue organization in that we exist mainly to bridge the gap between traditional animal shelters and no-kill rescues in 2 different ways: 1) By providing free transportation for dogs and cats from traditional shelters to no-kill rescues all over the Midwest and Canada. We also provide overnight rest stops for our furry travelers and temporary housing for those whose time has run out at the shelters, but have to wait for a foster spot to open up in one of the rescues; 2) By pulling as many dogs out of traditional shelters that are on death row and placing them in foster homes and forever homes thru our organization.
