Motaquote Steps Up For National and Local Charities

July 4, 2011 - PRLog -- In recent weeks Welsh small business insurance and personal lines broker, Motaquote, has pledged their support to Help the Heroes charity and the Jackson Llewellyn Griffiths Tribute Fund.

Given the volume of support behind these two charities in the company, Motaquote’s Charity Committee felt that these two were the most deserving.

Help the Heroes* is a British charity launched in late 2007 to help provide better facilities for British servicemen and women wounded in battle since September 11th 2001, the day of the Twin Tower tragedy. Given the number of people in South Wales and the surrounding areas that have family members serving in the Armed Forces this is a charity very close to the hearts of the people and to Motaquote.

The Jackson Llewellyn Griffiths Tribute Fund* is a local Welsh charity setup to help raise awareness of childhood meningitis and to provide funding for further research into the illness, following the tragic death of local child, Jackson Llewellyn Griffiths, who sadly passed away just before his 1st birthday.  This has touched a lot of people’s hearts both in Motaquote and in the local region, given rise to a wealth of support and donation to the charity – that then goes direct to the national Meningitis Trust.

A spokesperson for Motaquote’s charity committee, commented:

“The Motaquote staff are all very committed to these charities and are geared up to put the effort in to help raise money over the coming few weeks, especially since both charities mean so much to both staff and members of the local community.”

Over the next few weeks the personal lines and small business insurance broker have a number of events planned to help raise money for both deserving charities, from Rugby World Cup theme days, bake sales and dress down days to heads being shaved, male legs getting waxed and even one excited manager planning to get in a dress for the day!
