July 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Education is touted as one of the most important steps in helping a child define who he or she will be. Sadly, education is suffering due to cutbacks and lack of resources. One Montessori teacher wants to help.

Lisa Good, a NCME/AMS certified Montessori teacher for over 22 years has now learned enough about Internet technology to have her own educational resource for teachers, homeschoolers, and parents who want to give their children a head start. She has begun the arduous task of inserting her 22 years plus knowledge of the Montessori environment and teaching methods into a website called JustMontessori.com. She is focusing on the cultural curriculum.

There are many blogs of teachers who arrange their thoughts about the Montessori teacher, and classroom, but none so organized and detailed as this. Miss Lisa, as her students affectionately call her, wants to do more than talk about her experience. She wants to provide the resource available to all that can help them teach their children based on true Montessori methods.

"It takes a lot of work, and I had a huge learning curve trying to learn how to maintain web pages, but, with my husbands help, I have finally got it going." Lisa commented. Her husband, a corporate internet developer, said, "I've wanted her to do something like this for years. She has such passion in the classroom that I thought others would benefit from her knowledge."

"So, I finally did it!" Lisa said. "I took the summer off, and I write and take pictures of my materials every day." Lisa's husband says that he has become a blogger's widow, and has had to convert one of their bedrooms to a storage/studio. "If she's not writing a new day's curriculum, she's in the studio taking pictures of her many handmade materials. I've created a monster!" He laughs.

If you are a teacher, homeschooler, or just a curious parent who would like to see what each day of a cultural Montessori curriculum looks like, and follow her progress, then follow Lisa Good's progress on her website, JustMontessori.com, and make sure to follow her Twitter page for regular updates. Her Twitter name is @JustMontessori.

It's nice to have someone who will share their knowledge, especially when it can benefit someone else. Lisa says she will provide the curriculum online for free, but would like to consolidate all the information, when complete, into a book. Her husband can''t wait...
