GA peach sweetens BET weekend, then heads to the Lone Star state via the Big Apple

June 30, 2011 - PRLog -- The LA-based BET weekend festivities were notably sweetened this year with the presence of  model/blogger  Sheneka Adams. As one of the most in-demand socialites to attend the festivities this year, Sheneka attended a host of parties, including the ASCAP awards, Life Beat with Trey Songz, The Source/Jones Magazine gifting suites, Tony Rock’s All WHITE Day Party, The Source Rooftop Party, the IGA “Crème of the Crop” dinner, the Jive BET party and of course the 2011 BET awards.

“It was a great weekend. I was humbled by the love I got from so many different celebs, DJs and execs. I enjoyed the Cream of the Crop” Interscope dinner probably the most because there were so many movers and shakers in the room, it makes you want to work harder,” Sheneka says of her Black Star power weekend. Although the infamous weekend reads like a Who’s Who in Black Hollywood, Sheneka took the opportunity to network and focus on building her brand. With several Hollywood projects in the works, the BET weekend in LA offered the budding starlet an opportunity to get in front of the biggest decision makers in the business.

A highlight of the weekend was seeing one of her role models witnessing his hard work pay off in his children’s award. “Will Smith was probably the biggest inspiration of the weekend for me. He’s a phenomenal actor and that’s what I’m aspiring to be. He’s also one of the biggest philanthropists in Hollywood. He inspires so many young people and that is priceless.”

Still recovering from her BET debut, Sheneka returned home to Atlanta, GA for a few days of press before heading to New York. Sheneka will host a private rooftop day party in Rochester, NY on June 30th and then two days later she joins comedic royalty Cedric the Entertainer for his official after party. The jet-setting model will celebrate Independence Day on July 3rd in Texas hosting Heaven in Houston.

In addition to her hectic schedule Sheneka finds time to blog and interact with fans on a daily basis. “My fans and twitter followers get a glimpse into my lifestyle through my blog and I love sharing with them and getting their feedback. I try to pass on any lessons I come across and also just some of the things I think they may enjoy hearing about,” she says of her blog, www.dirtyrichlies.com.

For Sheneka BET weekend was a great start to an explosive summer. “I’m looking forward to continuing to work. I’m just getting started.”
