Davey and Goliath Return in 7th Set of Adventures

June 28, 2011 - PRLog -- (Rock Rapids, IA) –Bridgestone Multimedia Group™ continues to celebrate over 50 years of Davey and Goliath with the release of a seventh volume of adventures on DVD.

After airing on broadcast television from 1960 to 1975, Davey and Goliath celebrated its 50th anniversary with the goal to expertly re-master each episode. With the release of Volume 7, BMG has added six more moral tales to its growing collection of classic animation starring young Davey and his talking dog, Goliath. BMG also offers volumes 1-6 individually or as part of a six-volume set.

Volume 7 is an enhanced collection of five, 15-minute episodes, including “A Dillar, A Dollar,” “Rags and Buttons,” and “Who Me?” In addition, the Hansen family’s jeep falls overboard during a ferry ride, and Davey and his father go scuba diving to find the “Jeep in the Deep.” Next, in “The Stopped Clock,” a rejected Davey imagines a world without others, including Goliath, but he quickly decides that world is not for him.

The DVD also includes the 30-minute special “To the Rescue,” which first aired in 1975 and marked the end of the show’s original production run. On summer vacation at Roaring River Camp, Davey, Goliath, and friends lead an emergency rescue of a man and his daughter from a plane crash.
