Greg Gautam Elected To The State Bar of Arizona Executive Board, Young Lawyers Division

June 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Greg Gautam, an associate in the firm’s Phoenix office, has been elected to serve a two-year term on the Executive Board of the Young Lawyers Division (“YLD”) of the State Bar of Arizona. Gautam was also recently reappointed to serve another three-year term on the State Bar Committee on Minorities and Women in the Law.

The YLD is a dynamic community and professional service organization of the State Bar of Arizona, specifically created for new lawyers who are under 37 years of age, or have been in practice for five years or less. Presently, the YLD has approximately 3,000 active members in the state, which constitutes nearly 33% of the total in-state active State Bar membership.

The purpose of the YLD includes: coordinating bar-related activities for new members; promoting the involvement and participation in State Bar activities; promoting cooperation and fellowship among newer members; promoting interest in the practice of law by persons not previously represented in the legal profession; and assisting law students in preparing for the practice of law.

Gautam focuses his practice on all areas of employee benefits, including qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans and executive compensation. He also advises clients on benefits and compensation issues in connection with corporate transactions. Gautam earned his J.D. from Washington University School of Law and his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin.
