B. E. Smith Appoints Dr. Ronald Hirsch to Physician Advisor, Case Management

June 24, 2011 - PRLog -- B. E. Smith recently appointed Ronald L. Hirsch, M.D., F.A.C.P., to physician advisor for the firm’s case management consulting services. A nationally recognized expert in medical case management and an internal medicine specialist with more than 20 years of leadership in healthcare, Dr. Hirsch’s new role is effective immediately.

Dr. Hirsch will advise B. E. Smith clients on case management best practices, with a particular focus on engaging physicians. He brings specialized insight into implementation of the physician advisor role within an organization, providing coaching and mentorship in effective case management processes and regulatory compliance, as well as educating medical staff and facilitating a utilization review committee.

In addition to serving as a medical director of case management and medical necessity reviewer throughout his career, Dr. Hirsch has delivered numerous peer lectures on case management best practices and is a published author on the topic. He is a member of the American Case Management Association and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
