Emily Weldon Joins MedTech as Project Coordinator

June 16, 2011 - PRLog -- SYRACUSE, N.Y.— MedTech is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Weldon to its team as project coordinator.

“MedTech makes significant contributions to the growth of the bioscience and medical technology companies in our region,” Weldon said. “I am really excited for the opportunity to join such an effective and industrious organization.”

In her role as project coordinator, Emily will be responsible for shaping and managing events, programs and services to support the association’s strategic priorities and member-driven initiatives.

Formerly a Syracuse Technology Garden staff member, Weldon served as a program associate for the Center for Clean Tech Entrepreneurship. There, she provided direct support to overall program management, including client services and the coordination of special projects. She also managed a comprehensive outreach and communications program.

Prior to working with the Tech Garden, Weldon was development process manager for the Rescue Mission Alliance where she was responsible for day-to-day operations in Syracuse and Binghamton including donor relations, managing operations, processing donations and design and execution of donor mailings.

Weldon graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University in 2007 with a dual major in finance and entrepreneurship. She currently resides in Syracuse.
