Trek to Peth Fort with Jungle Lore - 26th June 2011

June 14, 2011 - PRLog -- We'll take it easy at the start with a trek to Peth fort on 26th June 2011.Join us and explore the panoramic spread of green on this pleasant & easy hike. This fort has gained a cult following given the uniquely carved pinnacle which sits atop and the beautiful view of Bhimashankar.

Trek Details

Peth Fort is situated in Shahpur Taluka, about 21 kms from Karjat station. Also known as “Kothaligad”, the fort was used mainly for storing ammunition. A breathtaking panorama of Karjat and Bhimashankar can be seen from the top. The most amazing part of the architecture is the pinnacle that has a carved way to go to the top.

At 6:00 AM near Swami Narayan Mandir, Opp.Dadar Station, Dadar (E), Mumbai on 26/06/2011

At 6:30 AM sharp departure to Ambivali village, base of the fort

9.30 AM - Post a small briefing session, we start our trek to Peth Fort

12.30 PM – Lunch at Peth ( village ).Post Lunch Visit Pinnacle - 1hr Fort sightseeing

At 4.00 PM Descend down and departure for Mumbai.

Packed Breakfast - Sumptuous breakfast before the start of the trek include an array of goodies. Tropicana Juice, Cheese Sandwiches, Cookies, Cake, Fruits and some more.

Lunch - A full course meal complete with local flavors will be served midway during the trek. Includes yummy Dessert as well !
