►Hey Chicago Burger Lovers: "Roscoe Village BURGER FEST"! ►Sat/Sun, July 9-10

June 7, 2011 - PRLog -- CHICAGO—Are you hungry? Savory patties will again take center stage at the 2nd annual Roscoe Village Burger Fest on Saturday and Sunday, July 9-10, on Belmont at Damen in the Roscoe Village neighborhood.

In addition to sumptuous burgers, sizzling live music, arts & crafts and activities for kids will highlight the weekend. In addition, visitors will be able to vote for their favorite Chicago burger.  

Burger vendors are: Goose Island Brewpubs; Andersonville's Hamburger Mary's; the West Loop's Jaks Tap; John's Place (with locations in Lincoln Park and Roscoe Village); Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro in the North Center neighborhood; Mario & Gino's Burger Shop in Roscoe Village; Lakeview's Select Cut Steakhouse; Stanley's Kitchen & Tap in Lincoln Park and the West Loop; and the Village Tap in Roscoe Village.

►Note: John's Place was voted by visitors as making their "favorite" burger at 2010's fest.  

Headlining the music stage lineup will be acclaimed New Jersey alt-rockers The Smithereens (Saturday) and retro British rockers Foghat (Sunday). Others performing on Roscoe Village Burger Fest's two stages include lauded Chicago chamber popsters Canasta, acoustic pop rocker Todd Carey; and eclectic local supergroup Super Happy Fun Club.

Burger Fest hours are 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. both days. The gate donation both days is $6.  Proceeds benefit the Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce.
