NWP Services Corporation Announces Agreement with CleanEdison

Company provides access to “Green Professional” training for Multifamily Housing Professionals

May 25, 2011 - PRLog -- NWP Services Corporation (NWP), a leading provider of financial transaction processing solutions for the multifamily housing industry, today announced agreement with CleanEdison to provide access to a suite of “Green Professional” training courses through Multifamily Training Central (MTC), the company’s web-based training/e-learning product for multifamily housing professionals.

“We are pleased that CleanEdison has teamed with NWP to provide access to Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Consultant Courses & Green Professional Certification through our online Learning Management System, Multifamily Training Central (MTC),” said Angela Rodebaugh, director of training for NWP. “Customers can now access and register for green professional training to become LEED AP certified or expand upon their existing knowledge of green building practice. Courses include LEED, Building Performance Institute (BPI) Certification, Multi-family Energy Auditing, Solar, Wind and Renewable Energy and many more,” Rodebaugh added.

MTC “Green” professional training is now available and conducted by CleanEdison's team of professionals which consist of Certified Energy Managers, Architects and Engineers many of which are LEED APs, and/or BPI certified contractors.  All instructors are practicing experts in the field of building science, energy efficiency and/or LEED project management. CleanEdison serves federal, state and local governments, building design and construction firms, owners, operators, and real estate investors. CleanEdison has educated hundreds of companies and thousands of individuals in green building practices both through customized training as well as the largest open enrollment green training program in the nation.

“A broad view of the requirements for achieving energy management reveals a tipping point, a set of conditions of understanding, property acceptance, collaboration, technology focus and portfolio readiness, without which true energy management and profits cannot be reached,” said Jim Charles senior vice president of product management and engineering for NWP. “To achieve this readiness, a knowledge base and skill set must be developed in the rank and file of multifamily housing portfolios to fully take advantage of these opportunities for economic savings.”

Lauren Carson, President of CleanEdison has observed that “owners and operators are realizing that energy efficient and environmental buildings have a competitive advantage over those which aren’t.  Apartment residents don’t want to pay high utility bills, and more environmentally friendly buildings are better for human health and safety.  Owners are rethinking the way they are managing energy usage, and CleanEdison courses are designed to help navigate that shift.”

MTC delivers online training technologies and services through its Learning Management System (LMS). Various levels of service are available to accommodate customers’ unique needs:  MTC Silver offers a robust training curriculum featuring 22 NWP product and service courses with integrated quizzes and a certification test.  MTC Gold includes all MTC Silver capabilities and offers additional reporting and tracking features, printable certificates and the ability to upload customers’ existing training resources.
