Michele's Totally Awesome Gourmet Popcorn Is Movin' on Up

May 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Loudon, NH - Michele's Sweet Shoppe, LLC is on the move. The Loudon-based business that started with a late night craving and turned into a major corn-popping project, is setting up shop in a new business location. Bucking the poor economy, Michele's will soon open its doors at Hillside Plaza on Route 4 in Epsom, NH.

"When we started the business back in February of 2007 we weren't completely sure how NH would embrace gourmet popcorn, so to save expenses we used space in our basement to set up a popcorn kitchen," says Michele Holbrook, one of the owners. "Thanks to loyal customers and some creative flavor options, we are headed for more space...and my husband gets his man cave back."

Keeping overhead low is one of the reasons that Michele & Dave Holbrook have managed to keep Michele's Sweet Shoppe not only afloat during this tough economy but growing, and grow they have. "Our gourmet popcorn has been very well received and our gross sales have increased double digits every year since we started," says Michele.

Already the adventurous types, having driven their popcorn cross-country to Las Vegas last year for inclusion in the 2010 Daytime Emmy Award SWAG bags, they are now embarking on a new adventure. Slated for opening mid-summer is their new commercial manufacturing facility and retail outlet. "We are so excited about the new space. We truly appreciate and thank all of our customers, friends, and family for their support, encouragement, and patronage over the last 4 1/2 years, for without them, we would not be where we are today," say Michele & Dave. Their plan for the future is to make this facility a destination; a place where not only residents of NH, but visitors to the state, need to "pop" in every time they come to NH.
