| ![]() NAAFA's Advisory Board Goes GlobalNAAFA announces an addition to their Advisory Board, the prestigious Lily O'Hara, MPH, Section Head of Health Promotion at the Health Authority of Abu Dhabu, United Arab Emirates and Adjunct Lecturer at University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia.
By: NAAFA Lily is a doctoral candidate with a research focus on the evaluation of consistencies and inconsistencies between values and principles of modern health promotion and two health paradigms -Weight centered Health and Health at Every Size (HAES). She has written a number of research papers and has been published in peer reviewed journals on topics ranging from Body Image and Eating Disorders to the War on Obesity to community based approaches to public health. One of her most recent research projects yielded the “Everybody in Schools HAES Toolkit”, a comprehensive resource and curriculum development tool based on the HAES principles.
