Getty Images Adorn the Walls of Sofitel’s Newest Sports Bar - SNAPS

May 7, 2011 - PRLog -- When Sofitel Philippine Plaza decided to immortalize the world’s greatest athletes on the walls of its newest sports bar called “Snaps”, Getty Images stepped up to the plate with the best photos in its collection.

The formal launch ceremony of Snaps, to be led by Sofitel’s General Manager Mr. Goran Aleks, will coincide with the much-awaited bout between Manny Pacman Pacquiao and Sugar Shane Mosely on May 8, 2011.

Needless to say, the Pacman’s image is one of the biggest in the bar. Located by the billiard table, he shares the spot with another Filipino great, Efren Bata Reyes. Two other Filipinos are featured in Snaps’ murals: top bowler, Paeng Nepumuceno and football star, James Younghusband.

Other sports idols include NBA players Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Michael Jordan; controversial golf star Tiger Woods; boxing legends Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, swimming’s Michael Phelps, China’s table tennis wonder Ma Lin; tennis superstars Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova; and billiard masters Mark Shelby, Ali Carter, Neil Robertson and Stephen Hendry. Surely, these images will spark even more lively debates among sports aficionados and fans.
