IObit Malware Fighter 2.0 Beta Short Review

May 7, 2011 - PRLog -- According to MajorGeeks software's description, IObit Malware Fighter is an advanced malware & spyware removal utility that detects, removes the deepest infections, and protects your PC from various of potential spyware, adware, trojans, keyloggers, bots, worms, and hijackers. It has an easy to navigate interface with 4 tabs: Overview, Scan, Protect and Cloud.

Although IObit Malware Fighter is still in beta phase, it has complete functions similar to the other malware removing software. The overview tab shows you the real-time protection status of your pc. You also can check number of blocked malware in the statistics tab at the bottom right corner.

As usual, IObit Malware Fighter too offers 3 types of scans: Smart Scan, Full Scan and Custom Scan. The Smart Scan takes around 7 minutes to complete, whereas Full Scan takes approximately half an hour. Next, the Protect area includes 8 real-time protections: startup,cookie, process, browser, network, USB disk, file, and malicious action.

There is no description or details for each guard. You only can choose to turn them on or off. Lastly, the Cloud tab is a great way to upload suspicious files to IObit Cloud for analysis. However, IObit does not specify the space limit that each user can upload to the IObit Cloud.
