I was surrounded by so many gorgeous invitations and gifts; I couldn't help but get a twinkle in my eye. So many happy brides to be, spreading their good news, getting excited about their invitations and planning for their big day, it was infectious.”

A Little Birdie offers bespoke, custom design, digital & letterpress wedding invitations, stationery, announcements and much more. All the pieces are custom made. Why Whalton? Why letterpress?
“I worked in a printing boutique in San Francisco and was surrounded by beautiful objects every day. I felt inspired once back in the United Kingdom to branch out on my own, so here I am. I needed some way of connecting myself to my surroundings again and finding inspiration. I wanted a way to escape from behind the computer screen. To make something real not virtual. I worked with a lot of girls at the printing boutique and we were always gossiping and chirping like the birds outside my window, so one day it occurred to me to name my shop A Little Birdie. When you open a card it’s like a little bird is chirping good news in your ear.

A Little Birdie wedding stationery uses traditional methods to produce modern, contemporary invitations and stationery, which truly reflect your tastes.

“I love creating something unique and different each time I use the letterpress. I never know exactly what effect it will create. I love that my machine was made in a small town in the North of England near where I live, over a hundred years ago. It ties me to this countryside. I love the tactile look and feel of letterpress. I like the traditional process but I want my cards to be playful and modern too.”
