12th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival to Showcase an Exclusive Screening of French Cinema

May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Newport Beach, Calif.  – On Tuesday May 3, 2011 the 12th annual Newport Beach Film Festival will present its French Spotlight, an evening celebration of French cinema and culture. The event will feature the Orange County premiere of the award-winning film, “On Tour”, followed by a festive post screening gala.
This favorite of the Cannes Film Festival, follows French actor/director Mathieu Amalric as he brings a group of American burlesque performers to tour the countryside.
“The Festival continues a proud tradition of presenting the very best in French cinema. “On Tour” is balanced by artful direction and an amazing cast,” stated Gregg Schwenk, CEO of the Newport Beach Film Festival.
   The film will screen on Tuesday May 3 – 7:15pm at the Edwards Big Newport 6, 300 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660.The post-screening celebration will take place at a Block-Party in the center of Fashion Island.
Admission to the French Spotlight film and the post-screening party is $35.00.
