WOCNCB Certified Continence Care Nurse Named NAFC Continence Care Champion

April 26, 2011 - PRLog -- The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB®) congratulates Tamara Dickinson, RN, CRN, CCCN, BCB-PMD, upon being awarded the Rodney Appell Continence Care Champion Award by the National Association For Continence (NAFC). The award was established in 2000 to recognize outstanding role models in health care.

Ms. Dickinson, employed at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas as a senior research nurse in urology, became a Certified Continence Care Nurse (CCCN®) in 2004. She currently serves on the Continence Promotion Committee and the Urodynamics Committee for the International Continence Society (ICS),and as urodynamics course director for the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA).

Gallagher, MS RN CWOCN CFCN CHT, president of the WOCNCB. “The CCCN credential validates the knowledge, skills and experience required by the continence care nursing specialty.
