Munger Construction Selected to Build Erin's Gym

April 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Branford, CT; The Town of Stratford and Sterling House have selected Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of a new field house for youths, which will be called Erin's Gym.

Erin's Gym is named after Erin Babineau, a ten year old, who died on February 22, 2005 after an auto accident. Being built atop existing athletic fields, Erin's Gym will provide Sterling House with the ability to add new sports programs and to take children inside during inclement weather.

Munger will construct a 12,000 square foot Varco Pruden pre-engineered steel building for sports and camp activities.  A 2,300 square foot mezzanine will be used for viewing and training.  A community room will be available for meetings.  Erin's favorite colors, blue and purple, will be prevalent inside.  PureGrass, a new artificial type of surface, will provide the playing surface.  Interior walls will be padded.

The building's exterior will resemble Sterling House including its classic beige color and brick accentuated lower facade.  There will be a cupola atop a cool red standing-seam roof.
