PRLog -- In the month of March there were 212 houses listed with 63 houses selling at an average days on market of 168 and an average price of $187,734. During the First Quarter of this year 143 houses of the 506 listed actually sold with the average price being $184,370. The Average Days on Market was 167. We are slightly down compared to the first quarter of 2010, in which the average price sold was $190,710 with the Average Days on Market being 129. Last year we were still working with the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit. This year we don’t have that, so if you put it in perspective, we’re still doing well in our market. Interest rates are still very low, ranging between 4.75% and 5% for a 30 year conventional. FHA and VA loans are making their way back into the market and they have lots of updates, so it’s important to keep up with the changes. Something else we've seen come back into the market are closing costs. Buyers are once again asking for them. So sellers, be prepared to make some concessions. We'll work hard to get your house sold.
