It ties together the mysterious case of the Ruamahanga Woman (the skull of a European woman discovered in New Zealand in 2004 and dated to a time before any Europeans had landed) to the mysteries of the Giza pyramids, Teotihuacan, the esoteric Cult of Mithras from the Roman Empire, and the clues left in the ancient mythology of Sumer, Egypt, Greece, and even the Americas and the Pacific Islands.

The compelling evidence for a completely different timeline of mankind's ancient past has largely been suppressed or ignored.  How many people have heard of the Ruamahanga Woman, or the Grave Creek Tablet of West Virginia, or the Davenport stele found in Iowa?  Like a Scooby Doo mystery, the "authorities" have their suspects and it is up to the "outsiders" to uncover the real story.  There may even be some attempts to steer people away from the truth, just like in the old TV series.

But what we believe about our ancient ancestors matters to us today: it has real implications for the future direction of civilization.  If the human race has fallen from a position of great technological advancement into centuries of ignorance and relative darkness before, it is important to know that and to be able to ask the questions about why it happened and how those ancient people encoded what they knew for future generations to uncover.  If we don't even know that it happened, we can never even begin to ask the right questions.
