Can You Use The Internet For Evangelism?

April 17, 2011 - PRLog -- When Greg and Margaret Fisher returned to the USA after 16 years of ministry in Africa, they wondered what ministry opportunities might open to them in the USA.  It didn't take long to find out.  Greg Fisher was an early adopter of internet technology, coding his first website in HTML using a text editor and guidebook in the early '90's.  They started an innovative Christian talk radio program they call Second Half Christians with Greg and Margaret.  It is heard each Sunday evening at 7 PM (MOUNTAIN) from http://www.blogtalkradio.com/gregory-fisher.  

The target audience for Second Half Christians are the baby boomers now gliding into retirement.  "We want people to know that hitting your 60's is not the end of life.  It is the beginning of the second half." says the shows co-host Margaret Fisher. Even though the target audience is baby boomers in the USA, the program has avid followers of all ages on four continents.  "We woke up one day and found our audience growing by one or two thousand people each month.  Then we realized we were finding our niche." says host Greg Fisher.

The talk show features a call in phone number (646-929-2432) for participants to cal in with questions, comments, and add to the topic of discussion each week.  The show also has a chat room connected to it on BlogTalkRadio.com.  "It can get a bit rough in there on occasion" says Margaret.  The Fishers are not intimidated by critics who call in, or people who simply join the live program to create a sensation. According to Greg Fisher,  "After years of doing out door preaching in the USA and Africa, we can handle it."

The Fishers are open to doing radio and television interviews about their ministry.
