Kimberly Riehn Promoted to CFO of Miller Construction Company

April 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Miller Construction Company has promoted Kimberly P. Riehn, CPA, to the position of chief financial officer of the Florida construction services firm.  Riehn, a veteran financial services executive, joined the Fort Lauderdale-based company as controller in 2010.

Riehn has more than 20 years of experience in corporate accounting and financial management and in commercial real estate.  She has been responsible for streamlining and enhancing financial processes for Miller Construction Company, which provides new construction and renovation services for the commercial, healthcare, educational and industrial markets.

Prior to joining the firm, she served as manager of corporate accounting with Republic Services, Inc., in Ft. Lauderdale for 12 years.  She earned the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – Accredited Professional (LEED-AP) designation when chosen by Republic’s senior management to oversee construction of an innovative LEED-certified headquarters facility in Sunrise.  Miller Construction Company was that project’s general contractor.

Riehn previously was an area controller with Republic Industries, Inc./AutoNation, Inc. and had served as corporate controller for Hudson Management Corp., a subsidiary of Republic Industries, Inc.  Her earlier career ranged from public accounting audit and tax work to commercial and industrial real estate management.

A certified public accountant (inactive), Riehn earned her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from the University of Georgia.
