Biscom and ILTA Host Webinar: Transferring iManage Documents Securely

April 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Chelmsford, MA – Biscom, provider of secure file transfer technology for law firms and corporate legal departments, today announced that it will be hosting a product briefing for the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) on its integration with Autonomy iManage. Biscom's integration with iManage, the result of collaborative efforts with Adaptive Solutions, Inc., allows law firm litigation and practice groups to securely transfer large volumes of files directly from their WorkSite directories.

The webinar is currently open for registration to all legal IT professionals and starts at noon ET on April 18.

Law firms face multiple challenges when it comes to securely transferring legal files. Traditional methods, such as burning the documents to a CD or delivering printed documents via courier, cannot ensure total security. Email often returns messages sent with large files, it can be forwarded to unauthorized recipients, and it doesn’t provide a reliable audit trail. FTP sites can transfer large files but are hardly user friendly, and if not configured properly can present significant security risks.  

The webinar will explore how to avoid these potential data breach risks with secure file transfer solutions. The presentation will include a live demonstration of Biscom’s integration with iManage, a walk-through of the transfer and recipient experience and best practices from the AmLaw 200.
