Singlewire Announces New Facebook Plugin for Use with InformaCast

Singlewire InformaCast is a full-featured, network-based mass notification, emergency communication, and overhead paging system that allows users to simultaneously send an audio and/or text message to a variety of endpoints including IP speakers, Cisco IP phones, overhead paging systems, computer desktops, digital signage, SMS text, social media sites, and more. When configured with the Facebook plugin, you can expand the reach of an InformaCast broadcast.

The InformaCast Facebook Plugin allows users to send text broadcasts from InformaCast to a Facebook account’s wall or the fan page(s) of an account you administer. Once you have created an account on Facebook, you can configure InformaCast to treat the destination Facebook account (and its fan pages, if applicable) as a new recipient that can be assigned to a recipient group just as you would a phone or speaker.

Possible uses for the Facebook plugin include: sending organizational-wide announcements like weather statements, emergency communications, and event updates to a Facebook wall or fan page where it can be viewed by individuals inside or outside the organization.
