Attorney Andrew Epstein Selected to Federal Magistrate Selection Panel

Epstein has been appointed to serve on the Merit Selection Panel to advise on the federal magistrate judge vacancy in the United States District Court.  The purpose of the selection panel is to assist the Court in selecting a new magistrate judge to fill a full-time vacancy in that position in Ocala, Florida. The Panel consists of eleven members, eight of whom are lawyers. Merit Selection Panel members are appointed to serve by Anne C. Conway, Chief United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida. Epstein was previously appointed to Merit Selection Panels to consider and submit its recommendations for the reappointments of incumbent Federal Magistrate Judges Thomas G. Wilson, Mark A Pizzo, Sheri P. Chappell and Monte C. Richardson. “I am deeply honored to have been asked to serve on the selection panel for this important task,” remarked Epstein.
