How Saudi Downstream 2011 Exceeded Expectations!

April 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Held under the patronage of the CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ AL-SAUD, Saudi Downstream Forum & Exhibition 2011 took place at The Movenpick Hotel, Yanbu Al Sinaiyah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 8-9 March 2011.

Saudi Downstream 2011 welcomed new investors and partners of the major stakeholders in Kingdom and focused the Forum on increasing investments in the downstream sector in Saudi. It was a major international event where for the first time, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Industry & Commerce and the Ministry of Finance met directly with the industry to unite stakeholders and the private sector to bolster investment and job creation in the downstream industries across the Kingdom.

The Forum was official opened by HH Prince Saud Bin Abdullah Bin Thunayyan Al Saud, other key speakers included: H.E. Dr Mohammed Al-Suwaiyel, President, KACST; H.E. Amr Dabbagh, Governor, Sagia; H.E. Abdualziz Al Tuwaijri, President, Saudi Ports Authority; H.E. Azzam Shalabi, President , NICDP; Mohamed Al Mady, Vice Chairmen & CEO, Sabic; Abdulaziz Al Judaimi, Vice President Chemicals, Saudi Aramco;  James D McIlvenny, Group Senior Vice President, Mega Projects, The Dow Chemical Company; Ben Van Beurden, President Chemicals, Royal Dutch Shell; Moayyad Al Qurtas, Vice Chairman & CEO, Tasnee; and Osama Al Zamil, General Manager, The Zamil Group.

The event received an exceptional number of delegates participating in open forums and debates, and concluded with H.E. Dr Aqili Khawaji, Executive President of the Royal Commission Yanbu, on behalf of HH Prince Saud Bin Thunayyan Al Saud, announcing that Saudi Downstream 2012 will be held on 6-7 March 2012 in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The event was a great platform for big industry players such as Saudi Aramco to discuss future investment in Kingdom:
