5 years old, Twitter can't count yet? No one notices error?

April 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Worldwind Internet social media network Twitter.com turned 5 years old 21 Mar 2011. Please don't consider me a party pooper though to be the one to point out a rather glaring error in their user instructions.  

"About yourself in fewer than 160 chars." They 'breviate it. I'll too. When in Rome. That's  instruction to fill out "bio." Clear. Wrong. Should say "160 or < chars," which is case. No biggie. I just went ahead used 160 chars. Worked. Tried to call tell them but don't publish phone number,  true sign of 21st Century customer service.
 
I had to decide whether this was newsworthy. I deemed yes. Consider, Twitter is valued currently at over $10,000,000,000. That's $10 billion, folks. Twitter's own birthday statement on their blog said that they had "made an impact in the areas of social responsibility, politics .. media.." blog.twitter.com/2011/03/happy-birthday-twitter.html. They're not bragging. Consider, the Library of Congress indexes all Tweets. I kid you not. blogs.loc.gov/loc/2010/04/how-tweet-it-is-library-acquires-entire-twitter-archive/

Yet, my own personal 160 character Twitter bio illustrates the boo boo that no one has noticed, apparently for 5 years: http://Twitter.com/OneCentDotUS. I cannot send it as a Twitter message. It is too long. Ah, but is it newsworthy? And for NY Politics? Sure is. I'm the Albany Buzz guy. Who knows? Maybe I've got the only 160 character profile on Twitter. Wouldn't that be an unfair advantage? What if they come after me and take away the period at the end of my bio (char 160). I decided to blow the lid on this anyway. I can handle whatever happens.
