March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- The life of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 seems to be coming close to an end even before it has started after the number of new phones has been launched in the recent months that will be providing every competition to this BlackBerry phones. Even though it was good in features, it will never be able to compete against the likes of the LG Optimus 2X and others. Hence, BlackBerry has decided to replace this phone with a new version and it is also to the making its debut within this year. The Blackberry Torch 2 will be the phone that will be chosen to replace the BlackBerry Torch.

Even though it remains very similar to the current version in terms of the design and will also be feeling the same in terms of the quality, the Blackberry Torch 2 is a totally different phone from the outgoing models, which will certainly not take long to realise. The Blackberry Torch 2 is going to be offering the same 3.2 inch touch screen display, but the resolution of this display has been greatly increased to a whopping 480 x 640 pixels. This high amount of resolution coupled with the fact that the display can hold up to 16 million colours means that the Blackberry Torch 2 will be capable of displaying almost every single colour that you can possible imagine in the world. The Blackberry Torch 2 will be using the capacitive technology in order to make the touch screen display recognise multiple touches.

The Blackberry Torch 2 will be including the multitasking option to the phone is a virtue of having the BlackBerry OS 6.1 in the phone. This will be done using the 1.2 GHz processor, which might be the single core unit, but it does not take long to be astonished by the performance of this processor. The multitasking and the other options that have been recently included into this operating system will be run quite brilliantly by this processor and this really questions the need for using a dual core unit in a mobile phone. Such as the incredible performance and it is not only about the performance, but also about the efficiency as well. Due to the usage of the battery that is rated at 1300 mAh, there might be expectations that the battery life of the phone might be low. However, the battery seems to be exceeding all expectations by providing plenty of talk time and standby times.

The phone is going to come with a five megapixel camera that is going to be the main aspect of the entertainment features in the phone. It will be having the usual features like the LED flash, autofocus and image stabilisation to get you the best possible images with minimum effort. The Blackberry Torch 2 will also be having the full QWERTY keyboard, which is present underneath the display. The Blackberry Torch 2 is expected to be launched in the Q3 of this year.
