May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Even though the Nokia N8 was really the best attempt that Nokia could manage after a long time, it was never really up to the mark when compared with the likes of the Android smartphones currently in the market today. It is also one of the reasons for the domination of the Android smartphones, but it seems that Nokia have finally come up with the phone that will end the Android domination in the mobile phone industry. It is going to be the Nokia N8-01, which is also expected to be the first phone featuring the Windows Phone 7 operating system from Nokia.

After the documents between Microsoft and the Nokia had been signed, a number of rumours sparked off stating that the current phones of would be replaced with phones running on the Windows Phone 7 operating system. Even though this has not materialised as of now, the Nokia N8-01 seems to be the first device at the heart of this operation. As a result, Nokia has taken extra caution in the amount of features that will be going into this device, although the exact specifications and the kind of operating system that will be present in the phone are all based on the rumours. The phone is expected to come with the 4 inch display, which is going to be similar in size to the Nokia E7's display. However, it is going to be vastly superior due to the usage of a significantly better resolution that is rated at 960 by 540 pixels.

This is the resolution that is normally seen in the Motorola phones and it is no surprise that it is finally being employed in the Nokia phones. This resolution will be used in order to display all the high definition content along with the incredible graphics provided by the Windows Phone 7 operating system. The usage of the 1.2 GHz processor is also expected to change things incredibly in favour of performance, which is usually absent on the Nokia phones, despite running on the Symbian operating system. Given the incredible power produced by the processor, one can definitely say that this phone is not going to run on the Symbian operating system, which is slowly going to be phased out.

The Nokia N8-01's another major feature has to be the 1 GB of RAM that it is expected to be carrying. It is not at all surprising given that the majority of the Windows phones are already running on the 1 GB of RAM. The huge amount of RAM is going to make the phone be better equipped at handling all the new content that will be thrown upon after the usage of the Windows Phone 7 OS. The 12 megapixel camera in the Nokia N8 also seems to have been improved to the 14 megapixel unit, which is undoubtedly going to be benchmark of the segment. The availability of this device still remains a secret, but there is hope that Nokia launched this soon.
