GUIOPERA not a Flash in the Pan

The GUIOPERA (an acronym for Graphical User Interface Opera and the end of year online serial that is virtually written live and appears annually from September 5 until it climaxes on Christmas Day) is about to be rolled out, literally.

March 22, 2011 - PRLog -- The concept designed as a next generation Ad platform, borrowing from Product Placement in movies, is a lavish story of a novice writer/performer who’s been trying for the best part of a decade to become an author.

Since 2008, three annual GUIOPERAs have been published online, written in Brisbane, Australia where a former IT worker has worked hard to create a style he’s branded “etfiction” (Emotional Techno Fiction), produced in a series of ebooks with his bumper product being the GUIOPERA.

“Think of etfiction as the programming language, and the GUIOPERA as the application written using etfiction,” says Metofeaz Litigatti, one of the novice author’s pen names and also one of the lead characters from etfiction.

“Ad placement in the GUIOPERA is rich and meaningful; the brand is packaged for the sake of the story in such an emotional way, both respectfully and yet still as an unconscious affair with the reader. It’s quality time for Advertisers and their target audience with their beloved Brands.”

News that the novice author is this year writing the GUIOPERA in his country of birth, New Zealand, may be a test to see whether the concept that will be staged in New York in 2012 is a flash in the pan.

And also, whether his claim that his story is the ideal medium for advertisers to place their products is more effective than a flash of a logo or name, as the camera pans from right to left.
