1,000 Readers Tell HR Daily Advisor About Their Benefits Programs

HR Daily Advisor Releases Results of Benefits Communication Survey

March 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Old Saybrook, CT—The HR Daily Advisor® has released the results of its most recent survey on Benefits Communication, conducted earlier this month. The survey asked HR professionals to describe the benefit summaries provided to their employees, as well as the methods used to determine employee benefit satisfaction, if any. Nearly 1,000 HR Daily Advisor readers responded.

According to the results of the survey, most employers (68%) do not survey their employees to determine benefit satisfaction. Similarly, 74% do not survey their employees about benefits preferences. Only 56% provide a benefit summary to their employees that shows the cost to the company of providing each benefit.

“Benefits communication is especially critical these days,” said HR Daily Advisor editor Stephen Bruce, PHR. “With little going on in the raise department, employers need to be sure that employees truly appreciate the cost of the benefits they're getting. This survey highlights some important trends for HR professionals to consider as they continue to reassess their benefits policies.”
