Prompted by the thoughts of Nelson Mandela, who said, ‘Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity, it is an act of justice,’…… WSI linked forces with World Vision and developed its Global outreach Program in 2004 to help make child poverty history.  
Vice President of Marketing for WSI Elizabeth Monaghan said, “We take for granted through our very own selfishness, just how much we have. If we're feeling like a drink, we check out a pop machine, if we feel like a snack food, we open a cabinet. Only sometimes does the majority of us open that cabinet and find it bare. When we do, we visit the food store, and perhaps for an hour or two, will we feel our stomachs speaking to us. It's not possible to imagine going days to weeks without proper nutrition, “said Monaghan.
WSI is humbled to help the MCPH project through fundraisers, sports events, cultural activities and donations. Presently, there are 1 billion youngsters living below the standards set by the United Nations Convention in the Rights of Children. There's also countless villages left without any aid for their kids. When Monaghan examines these reports she speaks for the organization as she strains that these figures are the big motivator to attempt and do more and reach out.
