How to grow tomatoes – 5 tomato gardening tips

1.   Pruning – removing the side shoots that grow off the main shoot – can be benefitial when you want to grow tomato in a cooler climate. If you live in a warmer climate you don’t need to do because the leaves protect your tomatoes.

2.   While your tomato plants developing water them regularly and deeply.

3.   Tomatoes love heat and they also love when the soil is nice warm. So preheat the soil and cover the planting area with black plastic.

4.   When you purchase tomato plants for your garden or for your containers; choose always healthy green plants with thick stems.

5.   If you grow tomatoes in containers keep the soil moist because it tends to dry out faster than in the garden.
