Signalwrite Marketing creates new print ads for global oil and gas services firm

Petrophysical Solutions, Inc., is premiering new ads for 2011, in an advertising campaign created by Houston-based Signalwrite Marketing. The new print executions focus on proven services while “continuing the brand campaign for PSI.

March 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Petrophysical Solutions, Inc. (PSI), an oil and gas services firm specializing in petrophysics consulting, has introduced fresh advertising for 2011. The new four-color print ads, created for the company by Signalwrite Marketing, maintain a strong brand feel that’s now entering its third year.

“Continuing the campaign in terms of brand look and messaging,” notes Signalwrite Principal Richard Laurence Baron, “so PSI is able to maximize its investments in marketing and communications.”

The marketing communications team reinforced new ad messages - of using proven performance to reduce risks, of PSI expertise in shale plays – with an original map at the top of each ad from the PSI cartographic collection. Signalwrite again tapped noted art director/designer Kay Krenek to produce the new print ads.

In the “Call on proven services” ad (shown), the team used a map by Ortelius dated 1612. Krenek says, “those strange fish and sea monsters are exactly the right metaphor for the risks that oil & gas exploration professionals face every day.

Complementing each map is a contemporary picture – in this example, a custom photo of PSI’s consulting petrophysicists – by Houston photographer Michael Hart.
