Emergency Life Systems appoints Loudbird PR and Communications to launch Firetext product

Feb. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Emergency Life Systems has appointed Loudbird PR and Communications to spearhead the UK promotion for its flagship product Firetext, an innovative new smoke alarm that was a winner in the 2010 nationwide enterprise competition organised by Barclays Bank.

Firetext is the only standalone battery-operated smoke alarm that uses text messages, as well as an audible alarm, to remotely alert home owners to a fire in their house. The alarm can send text messages to up to four mobile phones if it is triggered by smoke in the house.
The alarm is particularly appealing to relatives of elderly and vulnerable people, who live alone, or people who travel a lot for their work.

Firetext was voted for by the public to be the Central region winner in Barclays Bank's Take One Small Step enterprise competition in 2010, a competition which attracted more than 3,500 entries.

Loudbird PR and Communications, which was set up 18 months ago by Sophie Banks (winner of the 2006 Xchangeteam’s PR Freelancer of the Year Award) and journalist and former Travel Weekly chief-sub Angela Cronin, will be launching the Firetext product, available to buy from www.firetext.me, to consumers in the UK.
