Novelist Roger D. Grubbs has released “A Mountain’s Secret”

Feb. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- The search for Noah’s ark continues as it has done so for a span of millenniums.  If its existence can be proven, it would verify that the flood actually occurred.  But after more than 4,300 years, there are still doubts.  Why?  Shouldn’t someone be able to climb the mountain believed to be its resting place, find it, and bring back evidence to prove its existence for the whole world to see?

After researching the subject, it is no wonder it has remained a mystery until now.  According to the Bible in Genesis 8:4, the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat.  Within the past one hundred years, at least forty people claimed to have seen it.  Air Force reconnaissance planes have reportedly photographed objects on the mountain resembling the ark’s structure in size and shape.  Recently a boat shaped object spanning more than five hundred feet in length has been declared to be the ark.  But, is it?  Can they prove without a shadow of a doubt this is indeed the ark?

Let’s consider some obstacles that continue to hamper our explorations of this mystery.  Mount Ararat is a vicious beast, capable of destroying anyone who sets foot on her slopes.  It seems the closer climbers get to her little secret, the more fierce her attacks become.  This is a savage mountain with many obstacles.  Her snowcapped peaks hold ice as much as fifty feet deep – all year long.  That snow and ice can come crashing down on an unsuspecting climber without warning.  The weather can change several times before a round trip can be completed.  Many lives have been lost on her daring trails.  Oxygen becomes a critical element at heights of more than 20,000 feet.  The gradual slopes near the base make it a haven for criminals, hoping to take advantage of its explorers.

Mountaineers hoping to get a glimpse of the ark must face the reality their lives may be the very price required in exchange for that privilege.  But, there are those courageous few who will make a bold attempt at her allure.  Travel with us as Dr. Andrew Rogers takes on the challenge to prove the ark is resting high above the plains in Turkey.  However, there is more than just an ark hidden in “A Mountain’s Secret”.
