Northern NJ Council of Boy Scouts of America to Hold 2011 Sports Dinner March 10 at Mayfair Farms

Three notable area professional football players will be on hand when the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) hosts its 2011 Sports Dinner on Thursday, March 10th at Mayfair Farms in West Orange, N.J.
 
Feb. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- OAKLAND, N.J. – Three notable area professional football players will be on hand when the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) hosts its 2011 Sports Dinner on Thursday, March 10th at Mayfair Farms in West Orange, N.J.

The annual event – which raises funds to support and grow local Boy Scout initiatives in Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Passaic Counties – will feature a formal dinner, auction and guest speakers Shaun O’Hara of New York Giants and Dustin Keller of the New York Jets. Retired New York Giant Karl Nelson will serve as the guest auctioneer for the charity auction which will be highlighted by items such as professional sporting event tickets and autographed memorabilia.

All three players will participate in a question and answer session and will be available for photos and autographs. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

The yearly Sports Dinner and Auction generates the money needed to service at risk youths and reach the 35,000 youths in Northern New Jersey the BSA assists in developing physical, mental and emotional skills through programs, training, learning opportunities and more.
